Data Scientist - Algorithms, Optimization - Fulfillment

Data Science is central to Lyft's products and decision-making. As a Data Scientist on the cross-functional team, you will work in a dynamic environment tackling problems from shaping critical business decisions to building algorithms that power products. We seek passionate, driven Data Scientists for interesting ridesharing challenges.

You will develop mathematical models for the platform's core services, addressing optimization, prediction, machine learning, and inference. On the Fulfillment team, collaborate with cross-functional teammates and stakeholders to enhance algorithms matching rideshare supply and demand in real time. Develop product offerings to improve experiences for Riders and Drivers.

Leverage data and analytic frameworks to direct algorithm creations and improvements. Partner with Engineers, Product Managers, and Business Partners to frame problems mathematically and in business context. Perform exploratory data analysis alongside constructing statistical, machine learning, or optimization models.

Write production modeling code and collaborate with Software Engineers for implementation. Design experiments, analyze data, and communicate findings to facilitate launches. Drive cross-functional collaboration in an inclusive environment fostering belonging and growth.
